We the world citizens are breathing in a very much insecure society with the increasing dimensions of newer techniques of creating nuisance, terror and ever increasing distrust among citizens world over. Bombs in the bus, train, cinema theatre, open market areas, aero planes and also lying on the garbage tins are only few exhibits of a few peoples’ hatred towards the progressive nations; innocent lives are becoming items of rampage. These inhuman acts are the outcome of free breeding corruption of excessively selfish, narrowly greedy and anti social persons widely distributed throughout the globe. Our irresponsible political leadership has fathered and faithfully nurtured these values for quite sometime, well above four decades. Even In India, we are now only preachers of peace but have always supported criminals and masked their inhuman acts as part and parcel of democracy. We were theoretically known as symbols of tolerance but as a national character now, we display complaints and dissatisfaction on every issue; we are said to believe in “forget and forgive”, but our instinct of taking revenge never calms down. This dualism of Indian practices has been most vividly viable for more than Fifty years; though said to be prevalent in all periods of human civilization. And this dualism or even pluralism of split personalities is rampant world over among all politicians, everywhere thus a common man is becoming an easy victim. This is principally on account of ever increasing economy at any and every cost and this global feature is the motive dogma of modern progress. To be honest in approach, economic progress is friendly to ethical values only in the beginning but soon becomes a bookish conjecture.

The new format of the society is non palatable to millions of simple, honest and humble citizens who believe in brotherhood, love to all human beings and duty as the foremost human religion: those who believe in second religion is an option of thoughts and way of life !!. I have counted heart beats of such people spread world over by way of personal talk, involving and sharing mutual respect.

Exhibition of hatred in the form of terrorism is the latest edition of quelling human values, feelings and ambitions of being a human being. Variable techniques of generating terror are continuously questioning our technological progress dependent-perversions. And the bitter truth is that we can never achieve perfect, clean and honest society. Not because such a society never existed anywhere but because, biologically, this is improbable, impossible and definitely imaginative. Perverts are always born, socially transformed /made, nurtured, and have always been “domesticated” by power.

I intend to enlighten on all these points on the basis of my own studies accumulated as by products of my principal focus in areas of Genetics, focusing principally on reproduction, survival strategies and adaptive behavior in plants and animals including humans dispersed in many countries. Studies conducted during last fifty years suggest that humans are more amenable, susceptible and also most adaptive.

First of all, I concentrate on impact of social turmoil on biological aspects of human behaviour and reproductive performance.

( 1 ) Prevalence of Excessive Social stress

There are many problems existing in our society which have become synonym with the region; the one I had known about was, or rather has been, the “Dacoit problem”. A dacoit word was first heard on All India Radio in 1955 which we remember “ Daku Mansingh mara gaya”; I was a student of 10th class and my father was then posted at Nowgong ( Chhatarpur ) as a Magistrate. During teen age we came across many instances and the drama popularly played on stages about “Sultana Daku” was an item of festive recreation in Northern India for several decades. Stories of both terrorizing and social services were commonly heard and people had labeled “ Good Daku” and bad/ cruel Daku” ( outlaws ) in the Bundelkhand region mostly in the belt extending around Chambal river and further going ahead to the villages around Jaulon in Uttar Pradesh. Dacoits have laid an inbuilt terror among masses and I remember that whenever I visited my relatives in Jaulon area during 1950s-1960s every one cautioned that I must return home by sun set and at any rate, I must never be alone. I always have had desire to go to natural forests, river beds and explore unseen places but was often loaded by a very unnatural tension. Further to this, we always heard some or the other news of killings, kidnappings in a nearby area thus giving enough support to my temporary care takers. The worst was that a gun man went with me in early morning for a walk . The story does not stop here , there are several pouring instances coming to mind but a relevant one is more important.

You need Police Protection for your normal duty:

Even as a lecturer in Botany at Government science college Gwalior, I use to request for a police guard to accompany our M.Sc.boys and girls and the guard were lifted in our hired government bus to the forest area around Tigrha dam , sometime on Shivpuri road ( 1967-1973) and we also took help of Ghatigaon Police station. In every walk of life we have people who live with joy and enjoy their duties, crack jokes, make people laugh and keep a congenial environ. I remember a few policemen who went many times with me and one of them once remarked “Goswami saab you have been self centred in your studies but never cared for us; you have collected dozens of plants but we could not collect a single daku in this area, help us in collection.” I gave him an advice, go in civil dress like a student, collect plants, learn few technical things and be of course armed by pistols etc in a botanical tool box , you never know it may work !.

One may not believe, I showed them signs of their (? dakus’) earlier presence. They “always” leave signs by unnatural placement of twigs, branches which no shepherd

would do that way, nor even a villager and by these non monitored code the dacoits send cautions/ messages to their colleagues. This was my conjecture !!

An Hypothesis:

These are some of the instances which installed a “faith” in my approaches of the problem that a society under permanent stress must have, in greater majority of people, an instinct of insecurity. Insecurity, suspicion under stress cause the pituitary gland excitement thereby secreting more hormones than needed. We talk of bravery but the moment we see a snake in the vicinity, eyes alarm message to the brain which is translated and within a small fraction of second pituitary functions, we have involuntary rise in blood pressure, fear becomes operative and voice becomes shaky. Human physiological responses are so interdependent on neurological responses and are so sensitive that fraction of a second can change the whole personality. In our old Indian Vedic literature we rate control of Anger, Fear, and Greed as testaments of a noble soul.

So, obviously, the society with percolated insecurity causing behavioural tension must be having visible impacts on human reproductive performances at the population levels; this hypothesis was tested on the hospital data collected from the records of maternity centers, primary health centers and hospitals in Gwalior region. The birth statistics from 1950-to1995 gave very alarming results. Also, we conducted family surveys mainly with the help of female students studying post graduate courses at our and many other University centers who offered help for this, apparently secretive but, otherwise very important work. This is worth mentioning here that these investigations were compared with very many kinds of population samples ( In biological context, we call a population sample constituting a breeding group, which in India varies with the caste system, sometimes also differing in languages; non tribals, tribals, communities living at high altitudes, sea shore area dwellers in south and also on moving chariots of Rajasthan) A very patient personalized project accumulated data, generated from MP ( with Cgarh ) Bihar( old), Himachal, Punjab, Srinagar, Andhra Pradesh and some sporadic samples has turned out to be a very genuine consolidated information, some of which have already been published in national and International Journals.

Twinning is influenced

A mother gives birth to more than one child with a difference of a few minutes to few hours. The phenomenon is known is “ Twinning’’ which ordinarily includes birth of triplets, quadruplets and more. Every population has a range of say 8 to 15 per thousand twin frequency ( means that out of 1000 births there are 8 or more twin births which also includes multiple births ). Scientifically, we want to know how many triplets and multiple births have taken place in a population, and these are very well recorded in each village. Twinning never goes unrecorded because this is, as ever, a matter of social curiosity, worry and tension of the mother and attending persons on the health of both, the new born and the mother. Taken as a whole proportion of twin births in one year in one area, and comparing another population in the same way, doing this for many years makes a difference. Biologically, we derive many inferences and offer very valuable comments on the intra and inter population differences and impact of environmental hazards. My studies published during 1970 and thereafter opined for the first time the role of age of mothers, their genetic background, which was upheld by Scandanavian workers. Twinning by and large is dependent on heredity, mother’s predisposition to environmental factors as well as her higher age ( mothers conceiving at 35 and more have great chances for a twin maternity ).This was intriguing that frequency of triplets in particular, showed rise in Morena-Gwalior belt during 1960- 1975 which alarmingly declined during 1975-1980. Our total data based on about 6 million births suggested that average frequency of triplets was 1 in 880 births ( only triplet frequency ) which had declined in 1975-1980 to be 1 in 1700 births. Presenting this work in Rome Conference in 1989 on Twins, I had presented this data causing dismay to many and curiosity to hundreds. As a possible explanation, I had expressed hormonal imbalance influenced by fear, anxiety, socially prevalent long term tension to be responsible for increased tendency of ovulation among women inhabiting this area. A very strong support to this hypothesis was cited from the published results of twinning in Europe during and after the first world war and more extensive data during and after the Second World war. The German and central European territory revealed maximum twinning rates during war-period decade which declined in late fifties. What a grand biological phenomenon to compensate the loss of human lives !!

( 3 ) Over medication is the pseudo outlet of insecurity

A species under great biological stress reproduces faster than, under reluctance.

Twinning is also known to be influenced by drug abuse, extra dosage of oral contraceptives and too much alcohol or other addictions. These all are under a

physiological monitoring principle of three ranges, minimum, optimum and maximum. Not all individuals respond exactly in the same way, even twins are like “two peas in a pod”, so we can never assign any one causative factor for any biological phenomenon.

This is a dogmatic truth that there is nothing which can be taken “final” in biology. But still we try to offer explanation and on matters such as the present one, collecting population data ( epidemiological study ) and using statistical comparisons with many relevant studies are very reliably applications.

A very unfortunate biological problem is regarding congenital malformations which are directly correlated with over medication, drug abuse and newer addictions ( not all congenital malformations are hereditary in nature ) The most famous example is the thalidomide tragedy in Germany. During 1940s the women used extra dosage of sleeping drugs which included this organic compound, thalidomide.

Based on chromosome studies on plant cells under the influence of the chemical thalidomide, then, extending it to epidemiological studies and also subjecting it to tissue culture observations, biologists came out with recommendations to ban thalidomide dependent drugs. This also revealed for the first time that drugs in molecular forms are not detained by placental barriers and can harm the developing embryo. Pregnant women are very much prone to such hazards !!

Scientifically also, as we pronounce ethically, motherhood is the greatest virtue of being a woman and a mother.

Lack of Sociability

We have made extensive studies on twins and twinning from different parts of the country ( now, more than 14 million births ) during 1964-2004, keeping in view the ecological variables and marriage patterns ( because, marrying with in the family, as in practice in many communities in India, brings common genes among their children ). There are many instances that I intervened in some marriages of muslim families in Bhopal and tried to convince both parties of possible dangers of genic combinations. I did so because they had asked my advice as a scientist, so how can I be unfair to them. Duty as a biologist always demands truthful discussion with any one, and oily tongue can please the persons but not serve the science.

These all honest approaches in a society can sustain longevity only when there is a mutual trust; now in modern progress we face the greatest scarcity of mutual faith.

The great Shakspeare wrote “ who is to be trusted in this world when one’s own right hand is opposite to the bossom”. We are experiencing every where only distrust because we feel insecure. What for??

(

In my book on “BIOLOGY OF HUMAN BEHAVIOUR” ( unpublished) I have mentioned “violence” to be a natural, original and universal instinct in biological systems. Insecure-society facilitates expression of violence, non-violence is suppression of egos, which has a minimal occupancy in a perturbed atmosphere. No one likes suppression of desires; even, no one wants to take heed of precautions.

This is a very surprising fact in behavioural biology that the factors which enhance distress can be associated with twinning as well as result in increment of abortion rates in human population. There are more than dozen biological and non biological factors for causing recurrent abortions and too early termination of pregnancies ( just in 4-6 weeks of gestation; before noticing pregnancy) but among environmental factors, induced long term social unrest is one of the well known parameters. Natural disasters and calamities have their own way of destruction. Struggle for survival as a species always goes on in the biological scenario.

What we ought to do is to make our demands having some end, egos need to be fenced by our sense of duties. Very honestly, our country shall never be able to get back to real Indian values of tolerance, acceptability of knowledge and mutual faith with respect. This is now impossible rather than difficult to revert back !!

Is this pessimism ? no, not at all. The time lost can never be regained, gone - age can be replayed on a stage or drama not in real life, damage on humanity goes in the space of time ! Best examples are from Indian history dating back to 3000B.C.

Lord Rama, could never live happily after Sita’s “uncalled for” exile. The great Karm Yogi, Krishna ultimately tells the true strength of “Time” Arjuna was convinced to do his job, Duryodhan did his job and above all Bhisma and Dhrithrastra were understood to continue to their jobs despite the fact that everyone was becoming aware of drastic consequences. I often feel amazed at the deeper extent of hatred in Dhrithrastra’s mind that he wanted to crush and mutilate Bhimsen even when he had lost each and every son, his empire and the total purpose of his life. Frustration or “hatred in finite” or both, inseparable ! The lust of power and hunger of revenge are immortal, these never die, they breed truly in masses for several social generations.

Hurt remnants of hatred transform their beliefs in ethos of their isolated religion. Human mind is the most evil mind in the biological world. So we will always have wars, man made disasters and self aimed destructions.

How Do you Tell When a Girl is Ready for Pointe Work?

Many of the common foot injuries sustained by ballet dancers can be prevented, and treated, by the application of some basic knowledge about the structure of muscles in the feet. Specific strengthening of the different muscles can make a huge difference to a career in ballet, or any other dance discipline. This article discusses the causes and treatment of common dancers foot injuries.

BODY: Most dancers will complain of some foot injury at some stage in their training, and professional ballet dancers will often be plagued with chronic foot injuries, ranging from mild ones that are nursed for years, to severe injuries that may be career ending.

The truth is that many common foot and ankle ‘injuries’ occur as a result of poor “intrinsic” foot muscle strength. The “intrinsic” foot muscles are tiny little muscles that start and end within the foot, that help control the position of a ballet dancer’s arch, and are responsible for the control of her toes within the shoe en pointe. If these small muscles are not working effectively, larger muscles called the “extrinsic” foot muscles that originate further up the leg become overused, as they attempt to perform two roles. This often leads to conditions such as “Anterior Compartment Syndrome”, “Stress Fractures” of the shin bone (tibia), or ‘Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome” , commonly known as “Shin Splints”.

Weakness in the intrinsic foot muscles and overuse of the extrinsic muscles will also result in the toes ‘clawing’ both when rising, and en pointe. This is the biggest cause behind the nasty blisters that are often seen in photos of professional ballet dancers; however this does not have to be the case. Control of the intrinsic allows the middle joint of the toes to remain straight while fully pointing the rest of the foot. This does not affect the look of the line of the foot, but does make dancing much more enjoyable when free of pain!

In many other sports, orthotic devices may be worn in the footwear required that will help stabilize the arch and settle symptoms related to poor intrinsic muscle strength. Unfortunately, in ballet slippers these orthotics cannot be worn (although many have attempted this!) so the dancer is often left to ‘live with’ symptoms, or have repeated extended breaks from dancing.

With correct strengthening combined with gentle stretching however, many of these ‘chronic’ injuries settle very quickly. “The Perfect Pointe Book” is a comprehensive collection of many exercises designed to specifically strengthen the foot muscles needed in any ballet dancer. While initially designed to help girls strengthen their feet before going onto pointe, this book is essential reading for any dancer, especially if they have had, or currently have any foot injuries. The exercises have been developed after years of working closely with ballet dancers, and seeing first-hand what is most effective in regaining control of these small muscles.

Often ballet teachers find the specifics of training the foot strength needed for pointe work difficult as it came naturally to them. However for many people, the isolated strength needed in the feet must be specifically trained, especially nowadays, as many children who grow up in cities spend little time bare foot on different surfaces, which naturally trains the tiny intrinsic muscles of the feet. Understanding how these muscles should work when dancing is imperative in a long, injury free, career in dance.

My Open Secret to a Perfect and Lasting Relationship

I am not a psychologist, neither have I had any training in relationship advice. However I have been married to a wonderful girl for the past five years and, during that time, we have never had a fight or shouted at each other. Every day is a day of peace and love and I find her just as exciting now as the day I fell in love with her. Over the years I have come to understand her mind and I believe that I have discovered the key to a happy relationship. It certainly works for me and maybe it will work for you. Let me explain that I am from the UK and met my wife from Indonesia where we still live. So let’s start with appreciation. Have you noticed that when you throw a ball for a puppy and he happily runs over, picks it up and returns to you and you then pat him on the head, make a fuss of him and tell him what a clever dog he is? His tail will wag wildly (In the case or our Rottweiller, his STUB will wag wildly). He just loves appreciation. Personally I have a habit of forgetting where I leave my reading glasses. One day, when I was searching for them, one of my wife Yuyun’s young relatives found them and returned them to me. I thanked him and said “Wow, what a smart boy you are.” His chest swelled and his face beamed. After that, whenever he got the opportunity he would “find” my glasses, even if I knew where they were, just so he could hear some words of praise. You know, we don’t really grow up. We just get older. I love that very appropriate saying “The only difference between a man and a boy is the cost of his toys.”

So how does this apply to our relationship? Well, several times a day I tell Yuyun how beautiful she is, how much I love her and how lucky I am to have her love. This has the effect not only of showing her that I appreciate her but also of making her WANT to be beautiful with the result that she always tries to look her best. I make a point of never taking her for granted. Whenever she makes a meal for me, I kiss her, thank her and tell her how nice it was. Whenever she goes shopping, she will go out of her way to look for something special that I like because she knows that I will appreciate her efforts. Whenever she comes over to kiss me I thank her. The words thank you” if spoken with sincerity can work wonders.

How about communication and understanding? I always remember some of my relatives in the UK having a spat and the husband shouting “What the hell is the matter with you?” to which his wife replied “You know very well what is the matter!” But he didn’t…because he did not understand her. Everyone is an individual with different desires and needs. You have to discover what these are in your partner. Yuyun and I have spent hours talking about our childhoods and past lives. After five years I have a pretty good understanding of how her mind works. She came from a very poor family that sometimes did not have enough money to buy food. Her father had to go fishing or massage some of the neighbours in order to obtain a little sustenance. As a child she had no toys or dolls. As she grew up she would look at other girls who were better off and wish that she could have a cell phone or nice clothes like they had. The result of this is that today she has an inner drive to be recognized and looked up to. Because of the web page that we operate, we have appeared on local television a few times and when we stroll through town many people point to her and stop her to chat: this she loves. Now, at the age of 24 she has three cell phones and a cupboard full of dolls, making up for her disadvantaged past! Thus I understand what drives her and cater to it. Because I understand how she never had any money and had to keep asking for some I let her handle all the family finances. SHE has the bank account and debit card giving her a sense of power. We are not rich by any means, living solely on my retirement pension. This she understands and is never extravagant. We will go shopping for clothes for her, spend $20 and she will return home happy. Based on her childhood experience, she will go twenty miles out of her way to save ten cents on an item. This sends me totally crazy but it makes her happy so I go along with it. My attitude is that she does everything in her power to keep me happy so I feel that I should reciprocate. It’s the same visiting her family. Not speaking Indonesian, I sit there like a dummy, sweating and getting eaten alive by mosquitoes while she chats away. I keep my cool by remembering that SHE is enjoying herself and that she is never demanding and of course that I love her. Usually I end up playing with the family’s little children who are cute and where I don’t need the language.

I suppose you could call this consideration. Both Yuyun and I are considerate. If we see someone pushing a motorbike we will stop and see if we can help them. If we see a child crossing the street, we will make sure that they get across safely. This is our nature. I’m not sure that anyone who is not considerate can change but maybe you can force yourself to consider the feelings of your partner. Yuyun for instance likes constant attention. She regularly wants to be hugged and loved. I like to keep my brain active so spend some considerable time writing computer programmes and solving the most difficult Sukodu puzzles. This takes a lot of concentration, trying to remember a series of numbers in my head and I hate to be interrupted. However, when Yuyun wants attention or wishes to talk, I immediately put the thing aside and give her my full attention. I always remember the story of a fish tank in which there was a glass partition. On one side was a large ferocious fish and on the other side a small placid one. The big fish tried to attack and eat the little fish but all he got was a sore nose. After a few days, he got tired of all that and gave up. Then the partition was removed but the big fish still had no interest in chasing the little fish and found his food elsewhere. The analogy of that story is that if you reject someone’s love enough times, then they will stop trying and maybe go to someone else.

I really believe that Yuyun thinks like I do inasmuch as I am so contented with our relationship that I have absolutely no interest in any other woman. I can honestly say that this is the first time in my life that I have felt that way. Yuyun in fact, although she never gets angry with ME, becomes furious when any other men try to hit on her, as they regularly do! “I have a husband who loves me,” she tells them. “What do I need you for?”

I should mention that someone’s culture will obviously have some bearing on how they think and act. Here in Indonesia it is the custom to remove one’s shoes when entering one’s house. Thus many people wear sandals which are easier to slip off and on. When we leave someone’s home, Yuyun precedes me and bends down to turn MY sandals facing outwards so I don’t have to do it. When I told her that I didn’t really need her to do that she answered: “Please don’t stop me from doing something that shows that I love you.” After five years she still does this! When we go shopping SHE insists on carrying all the packages. When she has a really heavy one I have to force her to let me take it. She does not expect or desire me to help her in the kitchen with the cooking or cleaning. I am her Mr. Fixit when any appliances or vehicles give problems. Actually I CAN fix most mechanical and electrical problems as I was trained in that but when I do, Yuyun thinks I am a real genius and tells all her friends how clever I am. She is not interested in equality. She wants to be a woman and wants me to be a man. She initiates wrestling matches with me in order to prove to herself that I am stronger than she is. She wants me to protect her from anything that scares her. She will tell me what she wishes to do and ask me if that is OK with me. She knows that I will say yes but likes to ask me anyway.

Sex requires consideration also. How can you know what pleases your partner if you don’t ask? When I was a young man, I used to ask every girl that I met what she liked and when and how she liked it. I built up a knowledge base far in excess of my friends and they could never understand how I managed to go out with such beautiful women when I personally was not particularly handsome. When you love someone, there is a great deal of pleasure in giving pleasure to your loved one. Yuyun and I sleep together in what is called the spoon position, hugging each other all night. After five years I find her just as sexy as when I first met her. Part of this maybe is because she keeps herself in such good condition. She never goes to sleep without removing her make up and taking a shower. Her body and her breath are always sweet smelling. We really live more like a couple of lovers than husband and wife. Yuyun wakes up at about 5am with a beaming smile that stays with her all day. She leaps out of bed, skipping and dancing while I try to drag myself out. I don’t know how she does that. She tells me it is because she is always happy, day and night. I can wake her up in the middle of the night, take her out on the motorbike in cold, pouring rain and she will STILL be giggling and laughing…even the couple of times we slid off the bike into the mud. How can you NOT love a woman like that? Because of this I never get annoyed with her. I DO get angry with situations but never take it out on her personally. When I start ranting and raving about something, she just smiles and says “Remember I love you,” and that just breaks me up and I start to laugh with her. So, the above is MY secret to a lasting relationship. Maybe you can find something there that will improve yours.

‘kids and Cars’ Act Likely to be Approved

The senate panel is likely to approve a compromise bill which is aimed at improving the safety of children in and around automobiles. According to congressional aides and auto officials, the Senate Commerce Committee is expected to endorse a revised version of the Kid Transportation Safety Act of 2007, known as the “Kids and Cars” act.

The revised bill eliminate some mandates automakers opposed and requires the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) to take a more aggressive role in reviewing safety enhancements for children in and around vehicles. It would require the NHTSA to review whether to mandate automakers install automatic-reversing windows.

Stricken off was a mandate that automakers suggested would force them to add cameras to the back of cars - something they opposed because of the cost and effectiveness. Automakers and the NHTSA contended such cameras are not ready for widespread use. The revised measure also would mandate that automakers add brake-shift interlock systems, which require a driver to engage the brake before shifting a vehicle into gear. The said auto addition would decrease the risk of a child accidentally putting a car in motion.

The new bill has won the tentative support of automakers. “This bill addresses the emotional issue of child auto safety with sound science,” said Gloria Bergquist, a spokeswoman for the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, a trade group that represents the General Motors Corp., Ford Motor Co., DaimlerChrysler, the Toyota Motor Corp. and others. “Our initial read is it is good policy and good for children.”

Mike Stanton, the president of the Association of International Automakers, which represents foreign auto companies, said that his members support the bill. “It’s not as prescriptive as the previous bill,” Stanton said. He said the bill was “reasonable,” noting automakers are “doing some of the things already.”

Among the safety enhancements the government agency would be required to consider are automatic reversing windows, which “prevent children from being trapped, injured or killed.” The agency must make a decision in a period of 30 months. If the agency declines to require such windows, it would have to explain its decision to Congress. It could be recalled that in December, a 3-year-old girl was killed in a Pontiac Vibe in Detroit when she was caught in a window that rolled up and strangled her.

The original version of the bill, known as the Cameron Gulbransen Kids and Cars Safety Act, was proposed by U.S. Sens. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., and John Sununu, R-N.H. and it is named after a two-year-old New York boy who was accidentally run over and killed in 2002 when his father backed his SUV out of his driveway.

“Nearly every other day, a child dies in the United States from a completely preventable tragedy - backed over by a driver who could not see behind (the) vehicle, strangled in a power window or killed when an automobile inadvertently shifts into gear,” said Clinton on the Senate floor. The bill “will help to ensure that America’s cars (are) properly equipped to prevent these tragedies from happening.”

In November 2005, an identical auto safety bill was proposed. Unfortunately, it was not approved into law. Parents and critics alike agree to the idea that such bill is indispensable in today’s time.

“If automakers can add heated seats and chilled cupholders then they can afford to save kids’ lives,” said Janette E. Fennell, the founder and president of the advocacy group Kids and Cars, who has spearheaded the effort to force automakers to make more safety features standard and will be at today’s announcement.

“The answer is not, ‘Let’s just keep blaming the parents,’” stressed Former New Hampshire State Rep. Packy Campbell. “These safety groups aren’t asking for a hell of a lot. I agree you can’t protect from every possible danger, but these are common-sense, cost-effective solutions.”

According to statistics, every other day a young child is killed in a non-traffic automobile incident. The age of victims in these cases is usually less than four years old. These tragedies are truly heart-wrenching - but also are deemed preventable.

This revised ‘Kids and Cars’ act addresses the leading causes of these pointless deaths and injuries by directing the Secretary of Transportation to mandate safety standards and take other action to slash the incidence of child injury and death inside or outside of parked passenger motor vehicles. Just as the interior of the cars are cosseted by Flow Tech, car occupants especially the children must be protected at all costs.

Are You Having Sex Or Making Love?

To men, it seems that there is no difference between having sex and making love. However, there can be a great difference between them for a woman. Most women want to make love instead of having sex. Of course there are also women who merely want to have sex. However, if you are having it with your beloved one, you should be focusing on the notion of making love.

Making love is totally different from having sex. If you are seeking for one-night-stands then you are trying to have sexual intercourses. In most cases a man will not think about their performance on the bed if he is only having one-night-stand. There is also no commitment for the man to satisfy the lady. As a matter of fact it is quite difficult for a man to satisfy a woman if it is the first time for them to have sexual intercourse.

On the contrary, it is different for making love. There are at least some commitments. In fact, the man should also care about the feelings of his partner in this case. There are some emotional connections between the partners. There is no such connection in the case of one-night-stands. Besides, a woman may not concern the atmosphere so much when having one-night-stands. However, she will certainly want a pleasant and romantic atmosphere if she is going to make love with the man she loves.

In fact, in most cases the best location for making love is in a romantic room. You have to make sure that no one will bother you during the period of time. If possible, both of you should try to switch off your mobiles. It will not be a pleasant experience if someone disturbs you when you are having the intimate moment with your partner. Of course sometimes both of you and your partner will want something more exciting, you may want to make love on the car or even in some outdoor location. If this is the case then go ahead!

As you may probably know, foreplay is also extremely important. You should take enough time to have foreplay. If you are a man, you should try to explore all the different ways to arouse her. Try to kiss every inch of her skin. As a matter of fact kissing is always a great way to arouse a woman.

Again, communication is the most important. Your lady may not verbally tell you what she wants. However, you should be able to know that from her reaction. Trying to understand her body language is a must!

Celebrities Now are the Stars of Literature

Celebrity Books: Who’s Next and Why We Buy

By Nick Krimp

The public seems obsessed with celebrities, and those entering the celebrity books arena endear themselves to fans even more. Film, music, television and sports stars who publish books show us everything from how to copy their hairstyles and fashion choices to how to become better parents and teach our children. There are even books by celebrities who tell us how to manage a boyfriend, or how to cook for one once trapped. As if the beloved superstars are known to date singularly and stay married forever.

Still, we follow the every move of our stars, often discussing what celebrity authors disclose in their books as if they’re our dearest friends. We embrace stars as though they’re a real part of our daily lives. It all begs this question: Why?

It’s only natural that we’d get pulled into their well-publicized dramas. Pop culture stars summon our most human yearnings: to love, admire gossip and immolate.

It’s difficult to accurately define, but it’s their charisma that attracts the audience to their lives, both public and private. Charisma refers to a seemingly “supernatural” or uncanny ability to charm, lead, influence, inspire, and/or persuade others. This particularly refers to a quality in some who easily can attract the attention and admiration – or even hatred – of others through a “magnetic” personality or appearance.

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, however. It’s possible to derive value from a celebrity’s life and knowledge beyond the acting or singing for which they’re best known. Many actually deserve praise as book authors, too.

A number of superstars have valiantly written biographies, novels, or children’s books. In fact, many books by celebrity authors are quite good.

What follows isn’t a list of self-serving autobiographies written by ghostwriters. All of the books on this list actually were written by the celebrity credited. You’ll be surprised by who’s now an accomplished children’s author, cook book author or novelist. A few of them have even published self-help tomes.

Jane Fonda, the screen legend and member of one of Hollywood’s most famous families seeks wisdom and meaning after 60 in My Life So Far.

Kim Cattrall, author of self-help books such as Sexual Intelligence and Being a Girl.

Dolly Parton, author of various cookbooks, an autobiography, and the children’s story Coat of Many Colors.

Pamela Anderson, author of the popular chick lit novel Star.

Jay Leno, author of the children’s story If Roast Beef Could Fly, plus co-author of books about motorcycles and cars.

Madonna, author of various books including Yakov and the Seven Thieves and The English Rose.

Billy Crystal, children’s book author of Grandpa’s Little One and I Already Know I Love You.

Katie Couric, author of various stories for children such as The Blue Ribbon Day and Brand New Kid.

Whoopi Goldberg, author of Whoopi’s Big Book of Manners, Alice and other books.

Woody Allen, author of several tomes including two humorous short story collections: Mere Anarchy and The Insanity Defense.

Bette Midler, author of The Saga of Baby Devine.

Bill Cosby, author of the young readers book series Little Bill and many other humor books.

Jane Seymour, author of the self-help Jane Seymour’s Guide to Romantic Living and also the interior design book Making Yourself at Home: Finding Your Creativity and Putting it All Together.

Alan Alda, author of the second chance look at life, Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself.

Jerry Garcia, author of the children’s books There Ain’t No Bugs on Me and The Teddy Bear’s Picnic, and others.

Felicity Huffman, self-help author of A Practical Handbook for the Boyfriend.

Some critics question about the quality of books by celebrity authors, contending their being published is only due to their celebrity, not their writing talent. Another common criticism is that such books prevents other, more deserving writers from being published, since there’s only so much money from book publishers, online bookstores, and retail outlets to go around.

Yet, the trend of big celebrity book publishing continues. Throughout 2008, look for memoirs, biographies, cookbooks, and more from these highly-anticipated celebrity authors:

Christopher Andersen, Somewhere in Heaven: The Remarkable Love Story of Dana and Christopher Reeve (due in July).

Rev. Run and Justine Simmons, Take Back Your Family (due in August)

Michael J. Fox, Always Looking Up: Meditations on Optimism (due in September)

David Letterman, The Late Show Fun Facts (due in September)

Diahann Carroll, The Legs are the Last to Go: Aging, Acting, Marrying, and Other Things I’ve Learned Along the Way (due in September)

Jenny McCarthy, Mother Warriors (due in September)

Judge Greg Mathis, Inner City Miracle (due in September)

Perez Hilton, Red Carpet Suicide: A Survival Guide to Keeping Up with the Hiltons (due in October)

Ty Pennington, Good Design Can Change Your Life (due in September)

Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Estefan Kitchen (due in October)

Ted Turner, Call Me Ted (due in November)

Stefan Kanfer, Somebody: The Reckless Life and Remarkable Career of Marlon Brando (due in November)

Sir Roger Moore, My Word is My Bond (due in November)

Kanye West, Through the Wire: Lyrics and Illuminations (due in November)

Bob Dylan, Theme Time Radio (due in November)

Magic Johnson, Magic Moves (due in December)

A Marriage License is not Always Followed by a Sad Love Story

I usually wonder what happens when a marriage license in form of a marriage certificate is issued to a loving couple. Their love story takes a dramatic turn and becomes sorrowful. When people are dating, there is a lot of endless love and their long term relationship is hoped to be the best. They have a lot of trust in their feelings and that is why they decide to tie the knot. After the honey moon is over, a lot of bad things happen. Couples turn against each other as they question each others true colors. When people are dating, a lot is hidden to win the other party. Enough self control is practiced to avoid portraying a bad image about themselves. Relationship advice is important for people who are courting. Hiding your true characters acts as a serious time bomb.

Nothing remains in the dark for a lifetime. Many people pretend to be close to perfect when dating. They are princes and princesses until after they are honored with marriage license. Things move from best to worst. If enough relationship advice is not given to these newly married couples, they call it quits immediately after honeymoon or even before it ends. Marriage is about tolerance and it requires a lot of understanding and patience. An ideal love story features relationship problems. Do not shy away from small problems. You should be bold enough to overcome problems for a lasting marriage relationship. May be you have never seen your spouse angry and so when it happens you flee. If you show him his anger shakes you, you will be a victim of failed marriage.

To be on the safe side, establish problem solving skills early enough to avoid living in an emotional torture. It feels good to narrate to your grand children about your successful love story. Most young people have a negative attitude towards marriage due to the high level of divorces in our society today. There is no any good marriage to emulate since what they have grown up seeing was a real hell. It is always good to seek relationship advice before overreacting to a relationship problem. It is abnormal for two people living together to live without colliding. Disagreements do not mean hate. You should look at it as a difference in opinion. A marriage license should make you feel emotionally settled. It legalizes your love affair.

Many are the times a marriage license is perceived as bad news. It is a wrong perception because if you watch carefully, most of the married people are so stable both financially and emotionally. They are successful because they are settled. A love story of a victim of a failed marriage will always discourage you from saying i do. My relationship advice is that, you should be wise enough not to look at the society with a lot sceptics. Do not believe everything you read, otherwise do not read. The world has never been a perfect place. The society consists of failed and successful things so it is up to an individual to choose either to be a failure or a success.
